Did Melissa Gorga eat too many of Kathy Wakile's sweet treats?

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star stunned onlookers in New York City's Times Square when she filmed a segment for Entertainment Tonight Monday. Wearing a fat suit, the usually svelte "On Display" singer, 32, went incognito to see if people would treat her differently as a plus-size woman.

The Bravo celeb was joined Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, 23, who said the Real Housewives star looked "sexy" in her fat suit; the segment will air Thursday.

Gorga isn't the first star to don a fat suit for Entertainment Tonight: Vanessa Minnillo, 30, pretended to pack on the pounds for a November 2006 special report.

Why do you have to make more emphasis on fat people? Why is it ok to portrait the fat people as 'unacceptable' ? Seems everyone is encouraged to 'ostrasize' and put down overweight people, in everything. This show is not going to be anything positive about overweight women or men, just point out how 'unhealthy' they are, No wonder they cant get any good jobs or find mates and live alone and are left out of any and everything ! Shame on everyone for being stupid, do you think they WANT to be fat??

I am plus sized,by no means do I look like that! If you are going to represent us in an "experiment",at least get your proportions right! I do not look or have rolls or fat like that! I love Melissa but come on now people!

funny thing about this is -- if Melisa really did look like this, Teresa would be her best friend.

Um this discrimination case can't be so much about being fat as it is that God-awful super tight pink sweat suit she's wearing in the fashion capital of New York! Couldn't she find a stylist to get her something that fits and looks good. There's Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart stores that could have assisted with providing clothes. Come on!

Well i guess we can tell Thursday starts November Sweeps. Everyone is doing their special reports, shows are having their secret word sweepstakes, here we go...trashy tv gets even worse

What is the point of her doing this? Why can't they use a plus sized actress for the story instead of making her look over the top in a pink jogging suit? All my plus sized friends dress well and look great

No self-respecting fat person (myself included) would wear a bright pink skin tight sweatsuit in private, let alone in public. Stunts like this do nothing to prevent size discrimination. If you want to see how people react to fat people, how about asking some fat people? Since the country is supposedly 60% overweight, I'm sure there will be no problem finding someone who can share his/her stories.

I hate fat suit segments! They are so pointless. Of course people treat her differently. She is wearing a hot pink tracksuit that does not even fit her fake fat legs. LOL Love you Melissa but dumbbbbbbbbb

I don't think she did it to be funny but she probably did it to see how people would react to her as a fat person opposed to her being skinny.

i do not find this funny at all, everyone knows that people who have weight problems, are always treated different, not fir, so not funny, this does nothing for me, why wear a "fat" suit???? when you can see it on the streets every day???? shame on this!!! its a suit!!!!! they can take it off within minutes, and be themselves, thin!!!!! while others struggle everyday, and cant take it off like its a suit!!!!!!!!! cant you do something else???

This is one of the most ridiculous fat suits I've ever seen! There are so many Snooki jokes, but I'm gonna let her slide today.
