Video: Teen Mom's Kailyn, Ex Jo Battle Over Child Support for Baby Isaac

Entertainment January 17, 2012 AT 4:33PM

Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry may have moved out on her own with her son, Isaac, 2, but that doesn't mean her custody battle with her ex, Jonathan "Jo" Rivera, is over.

In fact, the 19-year-old mom is just beginning to negotiate the terms of his child support payments. And as a new clip from Tuesday's episode of Teen Mom shows, Rivera isn't willing to fork over the funds.

"I just think it's a little too much. I'm supposed to pay $470 every month -- almost half of my f--king checks," Rivera snipes when he meets up with his ex to discuss her recent support filing.

When Lowry reasons that his payment is high due to the fact that she's unable to work full time while she cares for their son, Rivera balks.

"I don't feel like more should be put on me just because you're not working," he fumes. "I just think it's unfair.

Intending to head to court to appeal his payments, Rivera is taken aback when Lowry inquires about his current finances, and argues that he still lives with his parents and is only responsible for his car payment.

VIDEO: Teen Mom's most shocking moments

"Don't be a f--king bitch! That's disrespectful. If I'm going to fight with you, it's going to be in court," argues Rivera. "We'll see what happens in the courtroom."

Watch more of the angry exes' confrontation in the clip above before Teen Mom airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. (EST) on MTV.

iphones are free when u get a plan. so how does that make her have money. north face sells for about 30 bucks at some discount stores in PA. I want to know how does she need money if she make 60k a yr?

I love how she says she has no money, but she is walking around in a North Face jacket and using an iPhone. I agree that Jo should be paying child support, but give me a break. If you can have an iPhone, then you have money.

Jo is just another one of those piece of SH*t dads sorry excuse for men who thinks they dont have to help when it comes to money I think Kailyn is a great mother and is doing a fantastic job all by herself and she shouldnt have to do it all alone he needs to quit being a baby and help by paying child support!

She should have been done it but she didn't need help then. She's not taking Jo for child support because she wants him to take care of her and her boyfriend it's for his kid. Kail takes her money and pays for her rent, food and other stuff which probably doesn't leave much for little Issac's diapers and clothes. For people to say that she wants Jo to take care of her and her boyfriend is crazy. Jo is just angry because she's taking money out of his music career. Lets see some of you have a baby young, go to school full time, work part time, on your own and then we'll see how long it takes you to file for child support.

I think Jo should pay child support but Katelyn was being rude when he tried to talk to her and lets also remember that Jo has helped her plenty of time and opened his home house to her to her she also is getting aid and probably will have her school paid for free then she gets a great job then he gets older hasn't gone to school cuz he has to pay for it and she is educated and he still at the same job because he can't get a head cuz goverment is not helping him with housing and education or having someone give him 500 a month she needs to leave her young boyfriend get herself a real job and make it all even and if she gets this child support she needs to nicer to Jo..not act like I got u where I want u and I can be a B

This dude is a trip. He lives at home with his parents and don't really have anything to pay for. She's out on her own taking care of their son. So I feel her on what she's asking for. Kailyn get yours mama. I agree with everything your trying to do for you and your son.

Many that are posting on here must be very young. Everyone of these young mothers should have gone to court right after their children were born and setup visitation schedules and child support and then conflicts they are having now would not be occurring. Kailyn is right to ask for child support from Jo - childcare is VERY expensive. She is trying to do a great deal on her own. Both of them created the child and both of them are responsible for him. She has the child the majority of the time and is trying to get an education so she can make a better life for her and her son. Jo may not want to pay child support, but I guarantee you that when they go to court he will be forced to and it is fair. She is not making him pay her rent and new car. She has to have a car for work and school. He is not paying for that - Jo is paying for his child so that he has clothing and food and he should have been paying it all along. He lives at home and if he were behaving like an adult he would have said to her these are my finances I make such and such and these are my bills and she could show him hers and they could agree on a reasonable fee. Now because he kept yelling and saying it was none of her business the courts will do so and I can guarantee you they will not be as reasonable as Kailyn may have been.

Kailyn's boyfriend is a teen as well - who did not impregnate any teen girls. How is it his responsibility to care for Kailyn and her son? It's not like they're married, and they haven't even been together for very long. As they're relationship evolves I'm sure they'd move in together, and then Kailyn and Issac would have his help (and key point: HE ISN"T ISSAC'S FATHER!). Kailyn is an EXCELLENT mother and role model - going to school full time, working, living independently, and adores her son, and is growing up about as gracefully as anyone growing up in this series can be expected. Especially after enduring the verbal abuse that Jo as her boyfriend doled out to her and the emotional trials with both his parents and hers. Kailyn is doing a fine job of growing up in my opinion. I have no sympathy for Jo. He is like many disgruntled fathers who feel they pay too much child support. Well, sorry for all of you - but the law determines how much you should be contributing to the financial aspects of raising your offspring. Jo needs to grow up, stop lashing out verbally at Kailyn, and realize that a parent puts their child's well being first. Issac having a roof over his head, diapers, food, and clothes comes before your "music career."

She's a "dumb you know what" for allowing the courts to determine how much Issac's father should be contributing to the financial costs of raising his son? Right. She goes to school full time, works part time (b/c she has a CHILD to take care of on her OWN - no parents to help her out like Jo has), and as he has helped to create Issac in the first place, child support is a GIVEN. Just b/c she was trying to be nice and not go there before doesn't make her a bad person or a bad mother. Life got to her (do you think she was hoping to total her car?!), and she couldn't afford not to access all the resources available to her to continue to care for her son independently.

I agree with u Kimberly I don't see her boyfriend stepping up to help. I hope Jo gets custody of baby Isaac because she is just a dumb you no what. Because her ass can't afford to pay rent or get another car so he suppose to help. She wasn't worrying about it before crashed her car. He even volunteered to go with her to the store and pay for half. She just want the money for her and her lame ass boyfriend. I can't wait forJo to get a girlfriend.I hope he win in court.
