What did Katie Holmes think of Tom Cruise's hip-shaking, hip-hop performance with Jennifer Lopez at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards?

"She loved it!" Cruise, 47, told UsMagazine.com backstage. "She was there while we were working on it... it was a blast!"
Reprising his role as Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder, Cruise jokingly tried to smack Lopez's booty (after she smacked his) during the performance -- but she wouldn't let him.

How did he master the moves? With help from his wife's choreographer, Tyce Diorio.
"I can dance a bit," Cruise told Us. "My wife's a dancer, so I like dancing."

Cruise is no stranger to the world of dance. Just last month, Cruise teamed up with Holmes to perform "Whatever Lola Wants" at a charity event.

Tom was the highlight of the show....and Jennifer Lopez. The cursing was a bit much but the bleeping made it worse. Give Tom Cruise A+.

quite impressed with Tom and his performance. Usually I can't stand to hear him talk and preach to someone about how smart he is but he looked like he was having fun and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

lol Katie Holmes is not a dancer. That's a slap in the face to dancers everywhere. The Tom and JLo routine might have been marginally funny, but only because it reeked of desperation. It had that "Oh how the might have fallen" vibe.
He definitely showed a different side of him. Made me think a little differently about him. He's been when he's lightened up. Funny dance with J.LO and his skits were funny too.
