An amiable cast — including Jason Segel as sweet Marshall and Emmy nominee Neil Patrick Harris as ladies’ man Barney — highlight what is, alas, just a so-so round of this slightly overrated comedy. If only the show’s romantic shenanigans (Barney’s secretly in love!) and clichéd banter were as lively as the DVD gag reel! (Fox, $40)
