Where Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert Spent Their Secret Honeymoon
It wasn't the Seychelles, but it sure was nice!
Shortly after getting hitched in Texas May 14, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert stole away for a few days for a super top-secret honeymoon. Where did the superstar country couple get their romantic R&R?
The vacation digs of pal Reba McEntire outside of Cancun, Mexico, their reps confirm exclusively to Us Weekly. (Shelton, 35, and McEntire, 56, recently co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards, and share the same manager.)
As first reported by Us, Shelton wed Lambert, 27 at the Don Strange Ranch before a crowd of 550 loved ones, including McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley and the Bellamy Brothers.
The couple exchanged their vows on a cowhide rug beneath an arch made of antlers in lantern-lit barn. Lambert wore her mom's wedding dress, accessorized by custom Casadei cowboy boots, while Shelton donned an Ermengeildo Zegna suit and Lucchese boots.
Before jetting off to McEntire's Mexican estate, the quirky duo escaped for a more rustic kind of mini-honeymoon: their Tishomongo, Oklahoma spread. Three days after the wedding, Lambert proudly posted a TwitPic from that trip: Wearing overalls, bikini top and cap, she held up a huge fish, presumably caught in the lake behind her.
