Somebody's got some awfully big shoes to fill!
Regis Philbin will end his 23-year run on LIVE! With Regis and Kelly on November 18, leaving Kelly Ripa without a co-host. With Philbin's departure just months away, Us Weekly wants to know who should be hired as his replacement.
If it were up to Josh Duhamel, one of his closest Hollywood pals would earn the coveted morning show gig. "My buddy Jerry O'Connell would be great and that's who I'm voting for," the 38-year-old actor said in January. Though O'Connell, 37, has guest-hosted several times, Duhamel added: "I don't know if he's up for it."
Also in contention? Ripa's husband of 15 years, soap opera star Mark Consuelos. The hunky actor has already filled in for 80-year-old Philbin a handful of times, and he's also hosted two shows for NBC: Age of Love and Science of Love.
If neither O'Connell nor Consuelos are up for the job, Ripa's BFF Andy Cohen might make a suitable choice. As the host of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live (in addition to moderating the Real Housewives reunion specials), Cohen, 43, has his finger on the pulse of pop culture.
