Michael Jackson Enjoys No. 1 Success With Film, Album

Wednesday – November 04, 2009 – 5:05pm

Five months after his death, Michael Jackson is still a chart-topper.

The singer's This Is It concert documentary and album of the same name have both reached No. 1 in the U.S. and in 16 countries worldwide, according to ratings reports released Wednesday.

Directed by Jackson's tour choreographer, Kenny Ortega, the concert documentary -- which was released Oct. 28 -- made movie history as the highest-grossing concert film of all time, besting Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana: The Movie. Its companion album now tops Billboard's Top 200 charts as well as the Soundtrack album chart.

Check out photos from the This Is It movie.

The disc, featuring Jackson's last recorded single, is expected to top album charts in Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Turkey, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the Middle East and Colombia. It will likely rank in the top three on charts in the U.K., Australia, Argentina, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain.

See touching photos from the singer's legendary career.

Jackson is the first artist since the Rolling Stones in 1971 to have a No. 1 documentary and album on the charts at the same time.

He died June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills, Calif., home.

November 05, 2009 - 4:58pm DJ Says: “Michael Jackson Enjoys No. 1 Success With Film, Album Hm, interesting statement....... How can he enjoy his success when he's gone????????????????” -------------- ----------- ------------ ----------------- ---------------- ----------------- ------------- ------------- ----------- ------------- ------------ Michael Jackson is indeed enjoying the success of his film and album because he is still alive and reaping the rewards, praise & $$$. He's in hiding (allegedly), away from the glare of the media spotlight, 1400 lawsuits, public scrutiny and obsessive fans. Give the guy a break. He deserves a good, peaceful, anonymous life now without all the leeches sucking him dry. If he is planning a comeback, won't it be the biggest hoax perpetuated on the entire world? Who will forget the biggest stunt ever successfully pulled by the most celebrated entertainer ever? MJ studied PT Barnum, who famously created the "What Is It?" dupe...which Michael's "This Is It" hype could be modeled after. PT Barnum has been called the greatest showman & hoaxer ever. He loved being freakish. MJ admired him & has the resources, $$, ingenuity, creativity, social connections, & imagination to pull this stunt off. MJ devoted his career to delivering the glamour of illusion to us. He even had a magician’s stage with trapdoors at Neverland and was the one to release the photo of himself in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber to the National Enquirer, stipulating they must print the word “bizarre” describing his pic. It’s well known he chased something even bigger & more exciting than Thriller. He spent his time after Thriller trying to capture that success again, but he never could. This could be it now. This is it. And in the process, he brings in money, is freed from debt, his daughter clears his bad reput.ation by saying what a wonderful father he is, and he becomes relevant in popular culture again...back on everyone’s radar. He even gets to see what people really think of him & watch his own memorial/funeral! Btw, he was allegedly sitting in the audience in disguise. The whole 7/7/2009 public memorial was a carefully crafted production the King of Pop himself. Just saying...Michael Jackson’s death was a hoax. Look it up. THERE’S MORE PROOF HE’S ALIVE THAN DEAD. More than I will say here. It’s speculated that Michael cannot get into any trouble because this was planned with the authorities. Dr. Conrad Murray may be a computer animation (created by dot matrix of Michael’s face). It’s well known Mike loved wearing disguises & playing practical jokes, and his sister LaToya even says the family’s nickname for him is Joker. How convenient to name his tour “This Is It” and say “…it’s the final curtain call…I really mean this is it” then disappear, I mean “die,” right before a grueling tour for a 50 year old. Oh yeah, don’t forget the 110 hours of rehearsal footage captured for his personal archives (supposedly) that just happen.ed to be filmed in High Definition by multiple cameras and multi-track audio, later to be sold for tens of millions of dollars as a movie. Fishy. Btw, I saw the movie. Nice message you gave to the circle of dancers and us (the audience) about saving the planet, we’re all family, protecting children & being kind to one another, Michael. You had to get the message out in a forum in which we would pay attention & take to heart, right Michael? I personally think that is great and he is very smart. I appreciate his heartfelt sincerity in trying to remind us that love is what matters. If he is indeed planning a comeback (June 2010), if he REALLY wants it and doesn’t want to lay low anymore, then I applaud him for fooling the world, generating excitement & remembrance of why he’s such a great entertainer, exposing the liars & frauds in his life, and extending figurative middle fingers to the media who reported falsehoods in his case, especially his “death.” His children attended film classes & want to make movies. MJ said he was going to make a documentary. Well done! The first one is a smash success! He’s already taken film to the next level, next he’ll innovate movies even more! I can’t wait for the sequel which chronicles how MJ pulled this death stunt/career resurrection off & how we all reacted as the days went by (some believing he’s dead, others piecing together the many clues he left to the “I am still alive” puzzle). It’s still being written, partly by us, by our reactions. We are all participants in this interactive docudrama.

A respectful message to those who still doubt Michael jacksonâ??s innocence or who need more information: There is a reason why a depth charge of anger and grief has ignited in the hearts of millions of people. I do not mean to offend who believes the opposite in any way, but I just have to speak up. Does anyone really believe that the millions talking about the miscarriage of justice Michael Jackson suffered would be prepared to overlook peodophilia just because he was talented? Because I certainly wouldnâ??t. The American people need to know they were effectively brainwashed by the relentless onslaught of media coverage and endless rotation of hearsay and outright lies that so-called journalists like Diane Dimond, Nancy Grace, Maureen Orth and the Smoking Gun online tabloid â?? amongst others, inflated into a storm of such unprecedented hostility it would convince Mr Jacksonâ??s legal team that it would be better to settle than fight in court in 1993. In hindsight, that decision was a huge mistake. In the 2005 trial, the prosecution introduced the 1993 allegations into the trial evidence to bolster their case, this enabled Meseareau to revisit the circumstances of those allegations. Mesereau was able to satisfy a conservative jury that there was no validity to them whatsoever. Of course, little or no coverage was given to this fact, just as no attention was paid to the facts or motives of Evan Chandler or Janet Arviso. While it is understandable due to the sheer level of misinformation and non-investigation of Michaelâ??s accusers: (Can anyone think of a single article apart from Mary Fischerâ??s â??Was Michael Jackson Framed?â?? that asked any serious questions about the credibilty of Michaelâ??s accusers?); â?? that the myth of sexual deviancy still persists about Michael Jackson - itâ??s just not acceptable for this lie to stand any longer. It has caused so much pain to so many people, including Michael, and it undoubtedly precipitated his dependency on tranquillizers and ended his life earlier than the norm. There is information out there, information, I might add, that has more weight and substance than the inflammatory nonsense that has been peddled for years by the majority, if not all the American media. I am asking people to please go their local bookstore and order Aphrodite Jonesâ??s book â??The Michael Jackson Conspiracy,â?? read Mary A Fischerâ??s article, go to the silencedtruth website and read Cory Rooneyâ??s comments in the â??Rememberâ?? section, read Brian Oxmanâ??s statements about Michael Jackson in The Huffington Post, and read the substantial legal criticism of Tom Sneddonâ??s years-long vendetta to prosecute Michael Jackson that is detailed in the archive section of the New York Times and many other publications. Millions of dollars of American taxpayers money were spent by Sneddon in an attempt to find corroborating witnesses to the so-called alleged crimes of Michael Jackson â?? an extraordinary amount, considering Sneddon found none. Out of the thousands of children Michael Jackson helped, two alleged molestation and one man linked both investigations. For most reasonable people these statistics should be ringing huge alarm bells. Janet Arviso and her son Gavin both admitted on the stand in 2005 that Janet Arviso had made her son lie to support her false claims that she had been sexually assaulted by staff in a J C Penny store, after she and her children had been caught shoplifting. Unlucky? Or just a family with a unnatural propensity for being in the wrong place at the wrong time? The Arviso v J.C Penny case I mentioned, by the way, can be found by googling it and in American law journals. I could go on, my point is this; people need to be asking questions right now â?? that is, if they want to know the truth. The movement for Michaelâ??s vindication is about enabling truth to come to bear on something that has needed exposing for a very long time, not about excusing serious crimes because of how well somebody sang. What was done to Michael Jackson must never be forgotten - and all those who talk about him being a child molester know not of what they speak. Please ask questions, find out the answers for yourself, don't let a ratings -driven media make up your mind for you. That is all I ask. And the film? Beyond beautiful? I just wish the ending was different, I always will.
