Inspiration can come from the most unlikely places! Melania Trump supported her husband, Donald Trump, at the final presidential debate on Wednesday, October 19, wearing not only another pussy bow number but also the same designer as Hillary Clinton.
Inside the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, the former model, 46, worked what appeared to be the Ralph Lauren Collection Sheryl tie-front jumpsuit, which is accented with the feminine, though decidedly controversial, neckline ($1,790, ralphlauren.com). She cinched her waistline with a wide belt and carried an Alexander McQueen minaudière.
Clinton, 68, also chose Ralph Lauren for the debate (as she has for the previous two). The former secretary of state stayed true to her flag-inspired styling — she chose red for the first debate and blue for the second — by donning cream wool crepe separates.
While Melania and the Democratic presidential candidate may share a love for Lauren, the Slovenian stunner certainly isn’t crossing party lines any time soon. The stay-at-home mom has gone on air to defend her husband’s crude remarks about grabbing women’s genitals.
“I was surprised, because I said like I don’t know that person that would talk that way, and that he would say that kind of stuff in private,” Melania said in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “I heard many different stuff — boys’ talk,” she said. “The boys, the way they talk when they grow up, and they want to sometimes show each other, ‘Oh, this and that,’ and talking about the girls. But, yes, I was surprised, of course.”
Melania added that, in her heart, she feels her husband was “led on — like, egged on — from the host [Billy Bush] to say dirty and bad stuff.”
