Russell Brand just loves being Mr. Katy Perry!
On Thursday, in his first interview since wedding Perry, 25, in India last month, the British comic opened up on Loose Women, a View-like talk show on England's ITV1 channel.
"It's just a normal marriage," Brand, 35, claimed, offering an anecdote as proof. "The other day, I put a shirt on and she went…'You’re wearing that shirt, are you?'"
Brand was initially taken aback by Perry's command. "I thought, 'That's actually happening? That's a thing off a sitcom. That happened in my actual life. I wasn't allowed to wear it. If she says don't wear that shirt, I don't wear it," he quipped, gesturing that "where i live" is under Perry's thumb.
Also ordinary? Their far-flung wedding. "It was just normal," Brand insisted of their elaborate, multi-day celebration, which culminated in a ceremony on a tiger sanctuary. "Everyone gets all worked up about showbiz and celebrity.
Still, the Get Him to the Greek actor admits to feeling "unsettled" since moving from his native England to the U.S. "I'm like a wondering nomad or a bedouin, except I ain't got a tent."

He finally got serious when discussing the topic of love. "All of us, really, have a deep yearning within us for love," Brand explained. "I think eventually you find a spiritual and emotional connection with someone, and I think it unifies with everyone. I think if you love one person it makes you love everyone. That's how I feel. Katy gives me a lot to think about. I like it."
