Barack and Michelle Obama were in good company Wednesday night.
At the annual White House State Dinner for British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha, several A-list celebrities showed up for the high-profile event.
Having the best seat in the house, George Clooney sat next to the First Lady (who wore Marchesa) during the dinner. But missing from his other side: his model girlfriend Stacy Keibler.
Vogue editor-in-chief and known Obama supporter Anna Wintour, who is fresh off of this season’s various international fashion shows, arrived in a stylish black and white scallop print Chanel column dress.
Film mogul Harvey Weinstein stepped out in a dapper tuxedo with his wife, Georgina Chapman, at his side. Chapman, a designer for Marchesa, created the teal off-the-shoulder gown that Michelle was wearing for the evening.
British actor Idris Elba, who is famous for his role in The Wire (one of Barack’s favorite TV shows), was also in attendance.
The entertainment for the evening suited both the Camerons’ and the Obamas’ musical tastes: British folk band Mumford and Sons performed followed by newly engaged John Legend, who sat next to his fiancee Christine Teigen.
