Guess Michelle Williams isn't growing out her hair after all! On Tuesday, the Oz the Great and Powerful actress, 32, attended the Kate Young for Target Launch in NYC sporting a fresh, daring new haircut. In a style slightly reminiscent of Miley Cyrus' drastic August 2012 hair makeover, Williams' blonde locks were clipped short on the right side of her head with a side-swept long fringe that fell over her face.
The Oscar nominee, who split with Jason Segel in February, wore a similarly edgy outfit to match her 'do: short blue shorts that showed off her long stems, a black top and white blazer. The A-lister apparently had a change of heart about the length of her tresses. In mid-February, before Us Weekly broke news of her split with Segel, Williams said in an E! News interviews she was "ready" to grow her hair long again.
"It's on its way, slowly but surely," she said at the time, adding that the growing-out process is daunting. "That's why I've stayed with short hair for so long. . . The mid-stage is insufferable. It's really hard on your self-esteem."
In an apparent nod to her late ex-fiance Heath Ledger, Williams told ELLE in 2011 : "I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair and I wear it in memorial of somebody who really loved it."
