Action! Derek Hough is temporarily trading in his dancing shoes for a stint on ABC's drama Nashville, Deadline reports.
The Dancing With the Stars pro, 29, has joined the upcoming third season of the country music show as Noah West, "a beguiling and disarming movie star who will cross paths with the players of Nashville’s music realm."
The Emmy-winning choreographer shared the exciting news on Twitter on Thursday, Aug. 14. "Can't wait!" he wrote, retweeting this message from @NashvilleWrites: "So excited for @derekhough from @DancingABC to be joining our fantastic cast! Get pumped, #Nashies!! #ABClove."
Julianne Hough's brother hasn't hung up his dancing shoes for good, though. On Wednesday, Aug. 13, ABC announced that Hough will be returning to season 19 of the hit competition show DWTS along with vets Mark Ballas, Karina Smirnoff, Cheryl Burke, and more.
Hough previously appeared on the ABC comedy Better with You and in the dance flick Make Your Move.
