Joe Giudice is rising to the challenge. With his wife Teresa serving a 15-month prison sentence in Connecticut, the Bravo star is responsible for taking care of their four daughters, Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5. And according to sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, he’s doing a pretty good job of it.
Gorga, 35, who’s married to Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga, stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, March 8, to catch up with host and Bravo exec Andy Cohen. While there, she gave a brief update on the Giudice family.
Asked how Teresa, 42, is faring at Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star replied, “She’s doing well. My mother-in-law gives me updates all the time. She’s doing really good.”
She noted, too, that she had written to Teresa in prison, and that Joe Gorga had talked with her on the phone.
As for the other Joe? “It’s heavy on his heart. It’s a lot,” she said of Teresa’s husband, also 42, who will serve his own 41-month prison sentence after his wife is released. Fighting back tears, she added, “I pass him in the morning, and he’s driving the girls to school. And I usually pass Teresa every morning.”
She continued: “It’s heartwarming to see him. He’s manning up, and he’s doing what he has to do.”
