Babs fights back! Often on Teen Mom 2, Jenelle Evans is at odds with her mom, Barbara Evans, who currently has custody of her eldest son, Jace. But in a sneak peek clip of the Thursday, Aug. 27 episode, Babs gives Jenelley some tough love.
Though she lives a state apart from her daughter, Barbara drives into town after hearing about Jenelle’s fight with her fiancé, Nathan Griffith, that landed him in jail.
“He just wrestled me for the ring, and he pulled it off my hand, and that’s all that happened,” Jenelle says, while chowing down on some homemade biscuits and gravy.
But Babs isn’t buying it.
“I came down because I wanted to know if you needed help, I wanted to know what was going on. Court or not, you’re still my daughter,” Barbara says, referencing their ongoing custody battle over Jace.
When Jenelle continues to act like her fight with Nathan isn’t a big deal, Barbara opened up about her own past struggles in an abusive relationship.
“I’m worried, Jenelle, because I was in a relationship all those years and he beat the hell out of me,” she says. “I don’t want you to do what I did. I don’t want you to go through that kind of life. I just don’t want to see another guy drag you down.”
Jenelle’s tearful mom then asks if Jenelle trusts her fiancé. Watch the clip to see her shocking answer!
