He's still got mad love! Andy Cohen doesn't plan on avoiding Taylor Swift after their awkward run-in at the 2016 Met Gala afterparty. The Watch What Happens Live host, 48, denied any hard feelings while chatting with reporters, including Us Weekly, at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 7 premiere party.
"No. I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan and, knowing me, I'll run toward her," Cohen said at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles on Friday, December 2, when asked if he'd run away from the "Bad Blood" singer, 26, after their encounter.
As previously reported, the talk show host claimed in his recently released book, Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries, that he witnessed Swift throw shade at her longtime nemesis Katy Perry earlier this year. In the memoir, Cohen wrote that he approached Swift by the bar after the Met Gala and joked, "Your friend Katy is sitting in the corner and there's plenty of room around her."
The 10-time Grammy winner then allegedly asked, "Katy who?" before requesting Cohen "not to say a word" about the encounter on his late-night Bravo show. He later wrote in Superficial: "She didn't threaten me about putting it in my book, so here we are."
The musicians have been foes since Swift called out Perry, 32, in a September 2014 interview with Rolling Stone for allegedly stealing her backup dancers. Two years later, the "Rise" singer tweeted that she'd collaborate with Swift under one condition: "If she says sorry."
Cohen also told reporters on Friday night that he's been contacted by several of the A-listers that he name-dropped in his new book. "I've heard back from friends … but not anyone that I pissed off," he explained. "I think those people are talking behind my back or just not being in contact with me!"
