One tough MUVA! Amber Rose says she learned some hard lessons during her time on Dancing With the Stars. “I learned that people make things look easy on TV and they’re not easy at all!” Rose tells Us.
Rose and pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated from the hit ABC show on Monday, October 17, after six weeks of competition.
The 33-year-old model, whose Latin Night cha-cha with Chmerkovskiy landed them at the bottom of the leaderboard this week, says she’d also warn her famous BFF Blac Chyna if she were offered a spot on the show: “I’ll say, to her, ‘Listen, girl — it is no joke and I’m about to tell you exactly what it’s going to be like!’”
Jokes Rose about her chats with producers, “They lied to me before I got on here and told me I was going to do maybe two, three hours a couple days a week! No big deal — but it became my life.”
The talk show host and mom of Sebastian, 3, says she has no regrets about her time in the ballroom, calling her experience on the show “amazing.” “I didn’t think I was going to win. I didn’t think I was going to make it the first week. I didn’t think I was going to make it halfway. I came on and I just tried. That’s it!” she tells Us.
Rose even took to Instagram on to post a sweet message to Chmerkovskiy, 36, thanking him for everything he did for her. “Although our time was cut short @maksimC I’m so happy I had the chance to experience this with you! You are truly my brother for life! Who knew we would become so close in such a short amount of time? 💕 Thank you for not giving up on me and getting to know the real me with no judgment I’ll love you forever for that reason and I’ll always have ur back through whatever. I’ll miss our stressed out rehearsals more then anything tho 😂 Love Amberony,” she wrote.
And what’s next on Rose’s to-do list? A well-deserved break! As she explains, “I blocked off my entire schedule for the entire season of DWTS, so I think that I’m going to take a vacation! I’m going to call my team and say, ’Can I please go for a couple of days?!’ Maybe take my boy, my little baby, and just go to a beach somewhere.”
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
