Well, this is new. Kanye West took to Twitter on Saturday, February 27, to offer a series of tweets praising Will Ferrell for his role in Zoolander 2.
“I saw Zoolander 2 for the 2nd time,” the father of two, 38, began. “Will Ferrell has reached walking living breathing god status! His existence is a blessing.”
This marks one of the first times in recent weeks that West has used social media as a platform to compliment individuals instead of taking aim. The Life of Pablo rapper has targeted a laundry list of celebrities and famous names as of late, including his ex Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa, Taylor Swift and even entertainment journalist Bob Ezrin.
“Perhaps it was seeing him play the same character from 15 years ago with 15 more years experience,” West wrote, commending the Saturday Night Live alum for “how sharp and Bruce Lee status he is.”
“We all know Will Ferrell has always been the one!!!” he continued. “I just want to thank Will Ferrell for the years of joy he has brought into my life with amazing comedy. … It is so inspiring. Thank you for existing!”
West previously made a cameo in Ferrell’s 2013 film Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, finally broke her silence on Friday, February 26, after staying mum through several weeks of her husband’s infamous Twitter rants.
“LOVING My Husband. HATING That people don’t get that Kanye will stand up against the whole world for his creativity and art,” Kardashian, 35, wrote on her personal website. “LISTENING TO ‘I Love Kanye.’ WEARING Yeezy Season 3 samples I took from the show.”
But the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star didn’t stop there.
“WANTING Everyone to be as honest as Kanye,” she continued. “WATCHING Kanye shoot his new video. READING Kanye’s tweets.”
The reality star also included her middle-finger Kimoji to describe her “mood.”
