Balthazar Getty

Balthazar Getty (born Paul Balthazar Getty) is an actor and musician best known for his roles in Brothers & Sisters, Alias and Lord of the Flies. He is also a member of the Getty family, one of America’s most prominent business dynasties. Balthazar was born in Tarzana, California, to John Paul Getty III and Gisela Getty. He was raised in San Francisco before attending Gordonstoun in Scotland. As the great-grandson of oil magnate J. Paul Getty, he grew up as part of one of the world’s most famous families.

Getty began acting as a child after being discovered by a casting director and made his film debut as Ralph in Lord of the Flies in 1990. He went on to appear in films including Young Guns II (1990), Natural Born Killers (1994), Judge Dredd (1995), White Squall (1996) and Lost Highway (1997). His television career took off with recurring roles in Charmed and Alias before he found wider recognition for his performance on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. He played the role of Tommy Walker from 2006 until the show’s end in 2011.

Balthazar has also performed with the band Ringside and has worked as a music producer for the duo The Wow.

Getty married fashion designer Rosetta Getty (née Millington) in 2000. They share five children: Cassius, Grace, Violet, June and Wolfgang. In 2008, Getty made headlines for his relationship with Sienna Miller while separated from his wife. He and Rosetta later reconciled and have since remained together.
