Emma Slater

Emma Slater is a professional dancer and choreographer most well known for being one of the Dancing With the Stars pros.

Slater began performing at a young age by joining stage school productions in her hometown of Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. When she was 10 years old, she began her ballroom and Latin dancing training. Later she would win multiple competitions in England including the British Under 21 Latin American Championships in 2005 and 2006.

The dancer went on to join the theater industry and performed in several productions on the West End and Broadway. She even had a small role in the 2008 musical Mamma Mia!

In 2012, Slater joined the fourteenth season of Dancing With the Stars as a troupe dancer. Three seasons later, she became one of the show’s pros. She was paired with comedian Bill Engval and the duo earned fourth place. Throughout her time on the show, Slater competed with Billy Dee Williams, James Van Der Beek, Drew Scott, Trevor Donovan and more. She took home her first mirrorball in 2017 with NFL star Rashad Jennings as her partner.

Slater began dating fellow DWTS pro Sasha Farber in 2011. The pair broke up in 2014 but rekindled their romance the following year. Farber proposed to the choreographer during an October 2016 episode of the competition series. The couple tied the knot in March 2018. After being married for nearly four years, the twosome split for good. In February 2023, Slater officially filed for divorce from Farber.
