Ben Affleck is one beefy Batman! The hunky actor, 41, has bulked up for his role in the upcoming superhero flick Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Affleck recently showed off his amped-up muscles in a tight T-shirt while in Beverly Hills with his family. While he has maintained a fit physique over the years, the Oscar winner looked noticeably larger and more cut as he ran errands on June 14.

The Argo star voiced his own hesitation about his casting in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in September. “They called me up and said ‘Do you want to do this?’ And I thought ‘I’m not 25 man, are you sure about this?'” Affleck explained. “They said ‘Come down, we wanna show you what we’re doing.’ It was incredible.”

While he may be over the hump of 40, the father to three with wife Jennifer Garner is now in better shape than many 25 year olds. Meanwhile, Affleck’s other famous Jennifer, his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, reminisced about their fabled romance in an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live this week. 

“I did, kind of like, say, ‘You’re a movie star! You should wear a suit,” J. Lo said of encouraging her then-fiancé to dress up more. “‘You should do this with your hair.’ For sure!”

Affleck has close to a year until his efforts debut on the big screen. The superhero flick, which also stars Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, and Henry Cavill, is slated to hit theaters in May 2016.
