Miranda Lambert is all about the “Work B–ch.” Britney Spears expressed her love and support for the country megastar via Instagram on Wednesday, June 25, after Lambert recently cited the “Toxic” singer as her motivation.
Blake Shelton‘s wife, 30, looking slimmer and prettier than ever, told Women’s Health in its June 2014 issue that she was inspired by Spears’ toned bod. “Like if I put on Britney, I can picture Britney’s body and I’m like, ‘Oh! Faster!'” Lambert said.
The pop princess, 32, discovered Lambert’s sweet statement through her younger sister, country singer Jamie Lynn Spears. Sharing a split of Lambert’s Women’s Health cover and her accompanying quote, Spears captioned the pic: “So flattered by this @mirandalambert! My sister @jamielynnspears just showed me. You look amazing!!”
Lambert, responding to Spears’ message, wrote: “This is so cool! Thanks girls!”
On the cover, the “Somethin’ Bad” singer channels her Texas upbringing in a cleavage-baring patterned dress and loose braid swept to one side. “I wasn’t feeling good anymore,” Lambert told Women’s Health of her weight gain. “When I’m thinking on stage more about how I look than what I’m doing, that’s a problem.”
Lambert got serious about her weight loss routine and dropped a whopping 45 pounds. In a Q&A with Us Weekly, the Platinum singer addressed her astounding transformation. “I’ve always been happy with myself,” she said. “But when I hit 30, I thought, It’s not going to get easier. So I chose to get ahead of it. There’s still nothing I love more than a bag of Cheetos, though!
