The couple that works out together, stays together! Julianne Hough brought fans behind the scenes of a joint workout with her husband, Brooks Laich.

As the NHL star, 35, sweat his way through weighted squats, the Dancing With the Stars alum, 29, did an impromptu dance next to him. “Brooks: ‘wanna do a workout with me today babe?’ Me: ‘yeah let’s do it!!!!’ 15 minutes later….” she captioned the July 3 video.

Despite having fun during the sweat session, the 5-foot-3 star is known for her dedication to fitness. “For strength training, I’m all about using your own body weight or smaller weights, 3 or 5-pound weights, and doing ankle and wrist weights,” the actress, who designed a capsule collection for athletic wear line MPG Sport, told Us Weekly in May. “I am a big believer in doing lots of reps. I think that creates a lean, strong body. For me, I like to have flexibility and mobility.”

Although the video suggests a conflicting approach to working out, the couple, who wed last July, are known to enjoy a duo sweat session. “We love to do anything active and adventurous together. We go hiking and biking. We want to go rock climbing together,” Hough told Us. “We really just try to find as much to do as possible to stay active, to move, to get good energy flow. That’s important to us every single day.”

Along with regular workouts, the Rock of Ages star, is committed to eating well, opting for healthy starches like sweet potatoes to go with her standbys of chicken and vegetables. “I think when you deprive yourself of carbs, that’s when you crave pasta and pizza and all those things,” she told Us. “I thought carbs were my enemy, but they’re actually my best friend.”
