Still in vacation mode! Orlando Bloom hit the beach shirtless on Wednesday, August 24, and went for a dip in the ocean in Malibu. Sadly, the Pirates of the Caribbean hunk didn’t go fully naked like he did in the steamy, NSFW pics from his European vacation.
The 39-year-old actor, who was wearing a pair of black swim trunks, met up with several friends, including legendary surfer Laird Hamilton, near his Malibu home. The Brit gave lots of attention to an adorable dog, chasing the pup around in the sand.
The group seemed to be enjoying the sunshine and played a few games of bean bag toss. The Lord of the Rings hunk put on a hat and sunglasses and sipped on water as he mingled with other beachgoers.
Bloom still showed off his amazingly chiseled physique, but it was not nearly as revealing as his naked paddleboarding outing in Sardinia, Italy, which basically broke the internet three weeks ago. The full-frontal pics, which ran on the cover of the U.K.’s Daily Star, were censored with only an embarrassed face emoji — and left very little to the imagination, especially when fans began to analyze a shadow on his leg to see how well-endowed he is.
At the time, a source told Us Weekly that Bloom and his girlfriend, Katy Perry (who appeared in the pics in her bikini), weren’t fazed by the headline-making nudity. “[Orlando] finds the whole thing amusing,” the insider told Us. As for Perry, “This isn’t something that would annoy her,” the source added.
Things seem to be heating up for the couple, who started dating after flirting at the 2016 Golden Globes in January. He supported the pop star at her Democratic National Convention performance last month, and was a totally supportive boyfriend filming the whole thing. They were also spotted getting cozy on a yacht in Cannes, France, during the film festival earlier this year.
Next up, Perry, 31, seems to be bound for the Burning Man festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. The “Rise” singer posted a throwback Instagram pic to last year’s festivities on Thursday, August 25, and captioned it, “#TBT my 1st burn 2015. Round [2] ready, right @mkives!?”
