Victoria’s Secret Models Show Off the Hard Work of Their Fitness Plans at NYC Lingerie Fitting

The Victoria’s Secret lingerie models showed plenty of skin as they strolled into fittings for the famed 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which airs on Nov. 28 — and looked devilishly good doing it! On Tuesday, Oct. 30, models including VS Angels Behati Prinsloo, Martha Hunt and Jasmine Tookes turned the NYC sidewalk into their runway — playfully baring their toned shoulders, six-pack abs and long, lean legs — before heading into sessions to try on the bra-based costumes they’ll model during the Nov. 8 taping. And with all the work they do in the gym to get their ripped-yet-soft, flawless physiques ready for the show, they deserve to show some skin! Stephen Pasterino — founder of P.volve, which is designed to sculpt, define and tone rather than bulk up the body — trains many VS models, including Nadine Leopold. “My P.volve method is a full-body workout, but I focus mainly on the hips and the glutes,” he told Us in September 2018. “The glutes are the center of our body and the biggest, strongest muscle.” They’re also very important when walking nearly naked down a runway in front of millions of fans. Whether the Angels and models sweat with P.volve, do yoga, box or cycle, all are stepping up their fitness and diet routines as they head into their catwalk countdown. Behati Prinsloo

She’s back! After taking two years off from the VS show to have her two daughters, the 30-year-old Angel will be returning for her 10th stroll. To get runway ready, she once told Us, “I do a lot of Pilates and yoga mostly, and then before the fashion shows I do some kickboxing — some more active stuff to mix it up.”

Jasmine Tookes

The 27-year-old Angel didn’t miss the opportunity to doff her furry jacket and flash her abs and cleavage in the corset top she paired with skin-tight black jeans. As she told Stylecaster in 2016, she gets her sleek physique with three calorie-torching sessions per week of resistance training with heavy weights as well as barre classes.

Martha Hunt

“I've been doing a lot of squats and overall strength training and conditioning,” Hunt, 29, tells Us of her prep for this year’s annual event. Tweaking her diet gives the VS Angel more confidence to show off in her underwear: “I want to eat enough to keep up with the workout,” she tells Us, “but I've been eating cleaner ahead of the show, and I try to make sure to take more vitamins.”

Sara Sampaio

Once the Angel has prepared her body to walk the runway nearly naked, she prepares her headspace with the other models pre-show: “We tend to hold our hands and scream very loud to get all the nervousness out and then we like to dance,” Sampaio, 27, tells Us. “We always have dance parties when we're feeling a bit nervous. It's always fun.

Kelly Gale

How are the 23-year-old Sweden native’s mile-long, toned limbs even possible? Besides genetics, of course, it’s a combo of cardio and strength training. “I find Pilates, gym sessions, jump rope and power walking are a good mix of strength training, cardio and lengthening, which is exactly what I need in the lead-up to the show,” she told Byrdie last year, adding, “I’m really healthy all year round, and I love to work out all of the time. But about eight weeks before the show, I really amp it up. I work out more, cut out all cheat meals, and try to be stricter than I normally would.”

Taylor Hill

The 22-year-old Angel’s metabolism is fast alright! “I eat 3,000 calories a day before the VS show,” she told The Times U.K. in 2017. “There’s no way you look like that and don’t eat. You would die.” As for training, “We’re like Olympians. We’re strong,” she noted of the Angels.

Cheyenne Maya Carty

It’s her big debut, and the 18-year-old rookie is bikini-ready thanks to trainer Mato Novak, who takes her through strength training exercises and boxing drills in his Brooklyn, NY studio. As the London native wrote on her Instagram Oct. 8, “Rocky better move outta the way! 🥊 Training towards my goal with @bodybymato #TrainLikeAnAngel#vsfs2018 @victoriassecret 💖”

Gizele Oliveira

For her second walk down the Victoria's Secret runway, the 25-year-old model prepared to don a thong in public with the help of trainer Russell Bateman. The pro founded the elite Skinny Bitch Collection workout, a.k.a., SBC, designed around moves that build muscle tone and flexibility.

Lais Ribeiro

This year, Lais, 28, has been training with Megan Roup, founder of The Sculpt Society. “Back at it, t’s that time of the year again guys! Getting ready for the show with @meganroup #TrainLikeAnAngel#focus” the Angel wrote on Instagram Oct. 2. The Brazilian model’s other secret weapon, especially after an injured foot threatened to sideline her: strengthening Pilates sessions with Justin Gelband.
