Friendly exes. Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross have nothing but amazing things to say about their relationship with Simpson’s ex-husband, Pete Wentz.
“It’s great,” the “Boyfriend” singer, 34, told Us Weekly of her relationship with the Fall Out Boy bassist, 39, at the Disney on Ice Celebrity Skating Party in Los Angeles on Friday, December 14. “We have a great family.”
The Star actor added, “Yeah, he’s amazing. Yeah, we’re all close friends. Thank God,” to which Simpson replied, “Seriously. We really lucked out.”
Simpson and Wentz were married from 2008 to 2011 and share one son — Bronx, 10. The Melrose Place star married Ross, 30, in 2014, and they welcomed daughter Jagger Snow in 2015.
The 7th Heaven alum’s older sister, Jessica Simpson, is currently pregnant with her third child — a baby girl — with husband Eric Johnson. Ashlee admitted that it’s very helpful to have a sibling with children around the same age (Jessica, 38, and Johnson, 39, already have daughter Maxwell Drew, 6, and son Ace Knute, 5).
“It’s so nice. I feel like Jessica and I have a lot of the same interests,” Ashlee continued. “My son’s 10 and hers are a little younger, so we definitely share [parenting tips].”
While Ashlee and Ross only have one biological child together, they previously admitted that they “definitely” want to expand their family in the future. “We definitely want another one,” the “Autobiography” singer told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2018. “Not yet. We know we want it, but yeah.”
The Hunger Games actor chimed in: “We’ll figure out when it’s the right time. … It might just happen; it could just happen.”
