Triple threat! Tina Knowles-Lawson posted a throwback photo with her daughter Beyoncé and granddaughter Blue Ivy on Thursday, September 10.
“Wow I miss them,” the fashion designer, 66, captioned a photo of herself cuddled up to the Grammy winner, 39, and the 8-year-old on the couch taken, seemingly taken before the coronavirus pandemic. The “Halo” singer had her arms around her mom and eldest daughter while wearing a white dress and pink sunglasses.
The Texas native also shares twins Sir and Rumi, 3, with her husband, Jay-Z, and does “everything” with her kids. “Blue always travels with Beyoncé and comes with her when she’s working,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2019. “The twins are getting older and Beyoncé has been taking them out a little more too. … They’re a very tight-knit family.”
The insider added at the time: “Jay-Z does a lot of daddy duty stuff and he takes Blue to school and things like that.”
The previous year, the American Music Award winner’s dad, Mathew Knowles, thinks that Blue is going to be “a star,” he exclusively told Us.
“She reminds me a lot of Beyoncé and [her sister], Solange [Knowles], when they were that age,” the Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story author, 68, said in April 2018, noting that he would “support anything and everything” the little one chose to pursue.
“I only have one criteria: Is that your passion? Is that the thing that excites you when you go to bed at night and you can’t wait until the next day?” Mathew explained to Us. “If it is your passion, then you have a huge chance of being successful. It can’t be what I want or what your mother and father want. It needs to be what you want to do. So if that was [her] passion, absolutely, I would be all for it.”
Months later, Tina exclusively told Us that Blue has been performing “since birth,” explaining, “Whatever she wants to do, she will definitely be able to do it because she’s good at a lot of things. … [She] hasn’t decided yet.”
