Breastfeeding and jet-setting! Multitasking mama Blake Lively shared a new photo of herself breastfeeding her 6-month-old daughter, James, outdoors on Thursday, July 16.
"The PERKS of breastfeeding," Ryan Reynolds' wife, 27, wrote, alongside the snap of herself in some hidden tropical alcove, wearing a bikini and focusing on her daughter. Though baby James is not featured in the photo, the Preserve founder joked about juggling her hectic lifestyle, in addition to her new hair color. "#YesThatsRiceInMyHair #BlondevsBronde #BrondeJamesBronde."
Lively has previously made cracks about breastfeeding her little one on the road, calling it a "full-time job" in Allure's May 2015 cover story. “I’m, like, driving down the road, pumping," she joked. On a more serious note, the Gossip Girl alum reflected about the concept of "having it all."
“Most of the things I do are all-consuming, but somehow I find a way to do it all," she mused to the mag. "It’s not having it all; it’s about doing it all, but it’s dangerous to dilute that to a catchphrase… Having it all could be having a happy, healthy family, and you could be a mom who stays at home, and that is the most admirable thing you could do. Or it could be having a profession that you really believe in, and not having a family, and doing what fulfills you."
Lively's latest fulfillment has been traveling with the World Wildlife Fund and Lokai as part of an upcoming project. Within the past two weeks, the Age of Adaline star — who will start shooting Woody Allen's new film in NYC next month alongside Kristen Stewart, Bruce Willis, and Jesse Eisenberg — has posted several photos from remote parts of the world.
"Brondes have more fun #NoTypos-IKnowIThinkItsCrazyToo," Lively captioned one Instagram post of herself seated on a suspension bridge high above a still river. She's also marveled at the world, too.
"Holy cow! A heart shaped mountain," the star wrote, alongside another picture of herself making a heart shape with her hands against the scenic backdrop. "Nothing more perfect than nature. Time to protect it!!! @livelokai and @world_widlife are helping to save our animals #LetsDoOurPart #livelokai #IStillCantBelieveTheresAHeartShapedMountain–WaitTilNirvanaHearsAboutThis."
