Bob Saget is taking the reins with wedding planning — and his bride-to-be couldn’t be happier about it.
“I’m not doing anything. He’s doing everything,” Kelly Rizzo exclusively told Us Weekly at the premiere of the actor’s Benjamin premiere in Hollywood on Wednesday, April 4. “The other day he goes, ‘Oh hunny, I paid the photographer.’ I’m like, ‘We have a photographer?’ Literally, I didn’t know. I’m like, ‘Alright, cool.’ I’m, like, so anti-bride. I’ll just show up on the day of in a dress. Just tell me where to be.”
“I’ve never met anybody like him. I also said I think in his other life, he should have been a travel agent. He’s so good at planning things and handling stuff. I don’t know how he does it,” she added. “He keeps me on my toes, literally. He’s just a wonderful guy. He’s a comedian, so there’s never a dull moment! And all of his friends are just so fun because they’re just as fun and unique and complex as he is.”
Saget, 61, popped the question in November 2017 after being set up by a mutual friend in 2015. The Eat Travel Rock blogger revealed that they will have a “really small” and local ceremony. For them, a “laid-back” environment is key.
“My dear friends, some of them who are here tonight, are coming to the wedding,” he told Us on the red carpet.
Stamos just recently married model Caitlin McHugh, and the couple are expecting their first child together. “When they had their wedding, it was so last-minute,” Rizzo told Us. “We couldn’t even go to theirs. So it was really sad. But we’re going to give plenty of notice, so for our very close friends, we’ll make sure that they’re there.”
Saget, meanwhile, was previously married to attorney Sherri Kramer for 15 years. The exes share three daughters, but Saget doesn’t plan on having anymore.
“No, no. I mean, Kelly and my daughters love each other, so it really is some magical thing that happened. They just love each other. And we want to enjoy the love of each other, so that’s something that we want to do,” he told Us. “I’ve been the dad a lot. Maybe I’ll be a grandfather one day. My daughter has a boyfriend. I’m not rushing it.”
Rizzo shared the same sentiment. “He has three girls and I’m super close with them. … He’s been there, done that. Not for me. So, just gonna enjoy life and travel around. Maybe one day I’ll talk him into a dog.”
