Bob Saget

Bob Saget is best remembered for his role as Danny Tanner on the long-running sitcom Full House. The actor played Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen’s dad from 1987 to 1995 before reprising the role in Netflix’s revival series, Fuller House, from 2016 to 2020.

When the Dirty Daddy author wasn’t onscreen as “America’s Dad,” he was making America’s Funniest Home Videos viewers laugh as the show’s host from 1989 to 1997. He also starred in Raising Dad for a single season, voiced future Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother for nine years and had recurring roles in Entourage and Grandfathered.

The stand-up comedian and Temple University grad was also nominated for a Grammy in 2014 for his comedy album That’s What I’m Talking’ About. The Masked Singer alum was in the middle of a stand-up comedy tour in January 2022 when he was found dead in his Orlando, Florida, hotel room at age 65.

Saget was survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, whom he wed in 2018 in California, as well as three daughters he shared with ex-wife Sherri Kramer: Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer.
