‘Full House’ Cast’s Dating History: Inside Candace Cameron Bure, John Stamos and More Stars’ Love Lives

Bonded for life! The cast of Full House became a tight-knit family after starring on the sitcom for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. The series, which followed the lives of Danny Tanner (played by the late Bob Saget) and his three daughters — D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) — as they tried to navigate their new normal after his wife’s passing. Along the way, Danny had the help of his brother-in-law, Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), pal Joey Galdstone (Dave Coulier) and his Wake Up San Francisco cohost Rebecca Donaldson (Lori Loughlin). Outside of the show, the cast remained close long after the show ended. While most of the stars reunited for the five-season Netflix revival, Fuller House, in 2016, their bond went beyond being a TV family. (Mary-Kate and Ashley did not appear in the revival.) That friendship extended to attending each other’s weddings, including Saget’s October 2018 nuptials to Kelly Rizzo and Coulier’s 2014 ceremony with photographer Melissa Bring. The group also reunited in January 2022 to honor their late friend, Saget, who died of unknown causes at the age of 65 that month. In fact, Stamos revealed in June 2013 that he and the New York native briefly dated before landing their respective parts on the sitcom. "We were friends, we were on the soaps together and we actually did date," the Little Mermaid Live! star said during a HuffPost Live appearance at the time. "We went on a date to Disneyland before, you know, before we were both married. In real life, when we were 18, 19 years old.” Stamos noted that the duo simply had “off timing” when it came to their romance. “No disrespect to her family and her husband now, I would say that she could be the one that got away,” he explained, adding, "[She's one of] my dearest friends, and that's good enough. But I really do adore her." Both Loughlin and Stamos are now married to Mossimo Giannulli and Caitlin McHugh, respectively, and many of their former Full House costars have also gone on to find their own happily ever afters. Candace Cameron Bure

The California native found The One at a young age, marrying Valeri Bure in June 1996. The actress and the former NHL player share three children: daughter Natasha, born in 1998, and sons Lev and Maksim, born in 2000 and 2002, respectively.

Jodie Sweetin

The Merry & Bright actress was married to Shaun Holguin from 2002 to 2006. She wed Cody Herpin in 2007, but the pair split three years later. The duo share daughter Zoie, who was born in 2008.

Sweetin welcomed her second daughter, Beatrix, in 2010 with then-boyfriend Morty Coyle. The pair tied the knot in 2012 but went their separate ways in 2016. The former child star announced in January 2022 that she got engaged to Mescal Wasilewski after four years of dating.

Mary-Kate Olsen

The Row designer dated a few men while she was in college, but it wasn’t until her rumored romance with Heath Ledger that her love life became a hot topic. Mary-Kate was reportedly dating the late actor at the time of his death in January 2008. She moved on with Nate Lowman in October 2008 after meeting through mutual friends. The pair split after nearly two years together in February 2010.

Mary-Kate married Olivier Sarkozy in November 2015 after dating for three years. Us Weekly confirmed in April 2020 that the former child star signed a divorce petition and then sought an emergency order to end her marriage. (New York City courts were not accepting filings at the time amid the coronavirus pandemic.) The former couple's divorce was finalized in January 2021.

Ashley Olsen

Ashley has had a few high-profile romances, including her three-year relationship with former Colombia University quarterback Matt Kaplan from 2001 to 2004. The designer was later linked to Jared Leto in 2005. The pair were spotted together on and off for years, even packing on the PDA at a gala in 2008.

She dated actor Justin Bartha for three years before they parted ways in 2011. The Passport to Paris actress quietly began dating Louis Eisner in 2017 after being friends for years.

Bob Saget

The late comedian met his first wife, Sherri Kramer, while in high school. The pair wed in 1982 and went on to welcome three daughters: Aubrey in 1987, Lara in 1989 and Jennifer in 1992. They split in 1997 after 15 years of marriage.

Saget went on a date with Katie Couric after his divorce and romanced Ladies of London alum Juliet Angus before meeting his second wife, Rizzo, in 2015 through a mutual friend. He married the blogger in October 2018. They were still together at the time of his death in January 2022.

Dave Coulier

Coulier was briefly married to actress and model Jayne Modean from 1990 to 1992. The exes share son Luc, who was born in November 1990.

Us exclusively broke the news in June 2014 that Coulier was engaged to Bring, his “best friend,” after meeting nine years prior. The couple tied the knot in Paradise Valley, Montana, the following month surrounded by many of the actor’s Full House costars.

John Stamos

Stamos was married to Rebecca Romijn for nearly five years before calling it quits in 2005. The Grandfathered alum began dating McHugh in 2016. Stamos proposed at Disneyland in October 2017 and they wed in California four months later. The pair welcomed their first child, son Billy, in April 2018.

Lori Loughlin

The When Calls the Heart alum was married to Michael R. Burns from 1989 to 1996. Before finalizing her divorce from Burns, Loughlin found love with designer Giannulli, whom she met in 1995. The duo eloped two days before Thanksgiving in November 1997.

Loughlin and Giannulli share two daughters: Bella, born in September 1998, and Olivia Jade, born in September 1999.

Andrea Barber

Barber played D.J.’s best friend and the Tanner family’s neighbor Kimmy Gibbler on the sitcom. She later reprised her role in the Netflix revival. Off screen, the actress found love with Jeremy Rytky, whom she wed in 2002. The pair split in 2014 after 12 years of marriage. They share two children, son Tate and daughter Felicity, whom they welcomed in 2004 and 2007, respectively.

Blake and his twin brother, Dylan, portrayed Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky’s twin boys on the sitcom. Blake played Nicky Katsopolis from 1992 to 1995. The California resident has been dating Sienna Hyerim Choi since 2018.

Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit

Dylan played Jesse and Becky’s second son, Alex Katsopolis, on the series from 1992 to 1995 alongside his real-life twin brother. The Emmy-winning sound editor appears to be single based on his social media accounts.
