After booking gigs as a child model, Loughlin’s prolific screen career began in 1980 when she was cast in the ABC soap opera The Edge of Night at age 15. Later that decade, she was cast as Rebecca Donaldson on Full House, graduating from recurring guest star to series regular for the sitcom’s third season. After taking on lead roles in the short-lived TV shows Hudson Street, Summerland and In Case of Emergency, Loughlin starred as Debbie Wilson in the first three seasons of the CW drama 90210 and then as Abigail in the Hallmark Channel drama When Calls the Heart. Between 2013 to 2018, she appeared as Jennifer Shannon in 15 television films in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Garage Sale Mystery series, and she reprised her most famous role in Netflix’s Full House spinoff, Fuller House.
Loughlin was married to Hollywood executive Michael R. Burns from 1989 to 1996 and wed current husband Mossimo Giannulli in 1997. She and the fashion designer welcomed daughter Isabella Rose in 1998 and Olivia Jade the following year.
In March 2019, Loughlin and Giannulli were indicted and arrested for their alleged roles in the nationwide college admissions scam, accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters designated as University of Southern California crew recruits.
