Andrea Barber

Andrea Barber is an American actress best known for her role as Kimmy Gibbler on Full House and its sequel series Fuller House. Barber spent her childhood in Los Angeles and began acting at a young age. She attended Whittier College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English, and later pursued graduate studies at the University of York in England, obtaining a master’s degree in women’s studies.

Barber started her career as a child actress, appearing on the soap opera Days of Our Lives before landing her breakout role as Kimmy Gibbler on Full House in 1987. Her portrayal of the quirky neighbor made her a fan favorite throughout the show’s original run until 1995. After stepping away from acting for several years, she returned to the spotlight when she reprised the role for Fuller House in 2016, acting alongside Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin.

Barber has appeared in a handful of other television projects and later authored a memoir, Full Circle: From Hollywood to Real Life and Back Again (2019), detailing her time in the entertainment industry and her return to acting. From 2021 to 2024, she starred in the Nickelodeon comedy That Girl Lay Lay.

Barber was married to Jeremy Rytky from 2002 to 2014. The former couple share two children: Tate Rytky (born in 2004) and Felicity Rytky (born in 2007). She later moved on with Michael Hawley.
