Andy Cohen is getting candid about how much he pays his kids’ babysitter.
Cohen, 58, told Jeff Lewis on the Monday, September 28, episode of his Andy Cohen Live radio show that he offers local babysitters $30 per hour to watch son Ben, 7, and daughter Lucy, 7. (The Bravo exec previously welcomed his children via surrogate.)
“That sounds cheap to me, especially from someone with your money,” guest Jeff Lewis replied. “She was there for two hours, and you gave her 60 bucks? Did that even cover the cab?”
According to Cohen, he actually gave his kids’ nanny $70 for a shift lasting 2 hours and 15 minutes.
“I probably would’ve given her $100 for two hours [and] two kids,” Lewis, 56, stated, noting that he pays his own nanny $37 per hour to watch 9-year-old daughter Monroe.
Cohen welcomed Ben and Lucy in 2019 and 2022, respectively, and has often opened up about his life as a single parent.
“Instagram makes everything look easy. I don’t show you my moments of intense vulnerability and loneliness and frustration because that’s not fun to look at,” the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host exclusively told Us in 2024. “But those moments happen like they do for all parents. Being the good cop and bad cop all in one person and just being everything [to them]. But I also think having kids late in life has suited me well. I’m better at not taking everything on.”
Cohen has recently found love with his boyfriend of more than one year, Kevin Sobieski, who’s already bonded with Ben and Lucy.
“He loves my kids and me, and that’s what’s important,” Cohen said on the Today show last month, noting that Sobieski had no awareness of the Housewives franchise. “[He’s] never seen it. His algorithm is feeding him Housewives-related things [now] because our phones listen to everything we say, so he’s starting to get a sense of the universe, but he has no clue.”
Cohen and Sobieski were first introduced at a summer 2025 party in the Hamptons.
“I almost didn’t go and I dragged myself out. I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore. I went, [and] we talked all night,” Cohen recalled on his radio show in June. “This man is kind and strong and smart and he is an adult and he loves my children and they love him and I love him. Introducing him to the kids and just entering him into the equation of my family so slowly, I have to say, it has been so easy.”
