Taking her breath away. Jessica Simpson celebrated Mother’s Day bawling her eyes out over the sweet notes given to her by her husband, Eric Johnson, and their kids.
“Mother’s Day 2019: fresh milk and hormonally crying reading my Mother’s Day cards,” Simpson, 38, captioned a snap of flowers, gift boxes and a bottle of milk on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 12.
The singer, who welcomed her third child, daughter Birdie, in March, proudly displayed the cards that accompanied the floral arrangements in two separate Instagram Stories.
“Dear Jess, You have literally taken motherhood to the next level,” the card read from Johnson, 39. “You have given us three kids and I could not be more grateful or in awe of you. You make everyone [sic] of my days special. I love you with all my heart.”
The note from son Ace, 5, and daughters Birdie and Maxwell, 7, was equally sweet. “Dear Mom, You could not be more beautiful, more funny, more loving, more fun,” the post began. “We love you to infinity and beyond and tie a couple loops around the moon on the way back and then back to your heart. That’s how much we love you. You are the greatest mom in the universe.”
Earlier this month, the Dukes of Hazzard star revealed her postpartum workout seven weeks after she welcomed Birdie.
“Just stretching it out in my rubber corset,” she captioned an Instagram photo of herself trying to touch her toes on Thursday, May 9. “The joy of postpartum.”
Simpson, who wed the former NFL player in July 2014, welcomed her newest little one on March 19 after powering through a tough pregnancy. The musician documented her setbacks — which included “a month of sciatica pain, followed by 3 weeks of Bronchitis” and multiple hospitalizations — on social media.
Despite the pains, the “With You” songstress said in April that she was “thankful” for her two older children “looking over their new baby sister” as she recovered from her C-section delivery.
