Summary

Senior Editor Kaitlin Cubria joined the Us Weekly team in November 2018. Since then, she’s been able to talk about all things Game of Thrones (RIP) and Avengers (also RIP) both on the site and with her colleagues. In return, she’s learned a whole lot about Bravo celebrities and the cast of Teen Mom. In her spare time, Kaitlin enjoys traveling to new places, finding workouts that are actually fun (and require minimal effort & sweat), eating seafood (or, more likely, McDonald’s) and binge-watching the latest Netflix series, as well as classic TV shows such as Friends and The Office. She currently lives with her husband in NYC in an apartment, which they proudly own.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Throughout her career, Kaitlin has had the privilege of attending red carpets, movie sets and press junkets for some of the biggest blockbusters. Among the list of celebrities she’s interviewed are Jennifer Lawrence, Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Michael B. Jordan, Joe Jonas, Katy Perry and the entirety of the ORIGINAL One Direction. Her favorite star she’s ever met: Céline Dion — and it was over FaceTime!

Education

Kaitlin graduated from Hofstra University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations, as well as minors in journalism and speech communication and rhetorical studies.

Work history

Prior to working as a senior editor at Us Weekly, Kaitlin began her career at a teen pop culture website, aptly titled Teen.com. She eventually moved on to become the editor-in-chief of Teen’s older sister site, Clevver.com.
