In a video posted to the “Love Wins” singer’s official Instagram page on Saturday, June 22, the youngest member of the Underwood-Fisher clan cried his eyes out every time the former professional hockey player crooned Vince Gill‘s “I Still Believe in You.”
The only time the infant stopped was when the Grammy-winning songstress, 36, chimed in, crooning the same tune.
“Everyone’s a critic,” the country star captioned the hilarious footage, along with the woman shrugging emoji.
But the athlete claimed the “real reason” behind the little one’s tears wasn’t his singing. “He was hungry and wanted your food,” Fisher, 39, wrote in the comments section, along with two tears of joy emojis.
Other stars found the interaction equally amusing, with Justin Timberlake calling it “the greatest thing I’ve seen all year.”
Underwood’s fellow country star Lori McKenna also weighed in, writing, “Oh my GOD. I’ve watched this 1000 times.”
Nashville alum Kimberly Payne Williams-Paisley added, “Oh my gosh I’m dying,” along with five rolling on the floor laughing emojis.
The happy couple welcomed Jacob into the world on January 21. “His mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle,” the American Idol season 4 winner wrote on Instagram two days after his birth. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…”
Underwood and the former Nashville Predators player, who tied the knot in July 2010, are also the proud parents of 3-year-old son Isaiah.
