Late night, little guy? Joanna and Chip Gaines’ 4-month-old son, Crew, made his TV debut on the Tuesday, November 6, episode of Today — and he slept through the whole segment!
The baby crashed his mom’s interview after some begging from cohosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie. Chip, who also made a surprise appearance, placed the little boy into Guthrie’s arms.
“He’s mostly out cold,” Chip, 46, declared. “Precious cargo.”
As Guthrie, 46, and Kotb, 54, fawned over Crew, Joanna marveled at how her life has changed since giving birth to her fifth child in June. “He is a gift,” gushed the Homebody author. “We were talking the other day, just saying how he’s slowed down time for us.”
He’s impacted their lives so positively, in fact, there’s a chance the Fixer Upper stars will expand their family one more time. When asked about having a sixth child, Chip began pumping his fist. “I love the process of being pregnant, I love giving birth,” Joanna explained.
For now, the couple and their kids Drake, 13, Ella, 11, Duke, 10, and Emmie Kay, 8, are just enjoying Crew. “They are obsessed with him,” Joanna revealed. “And it really is one of those things where I have to fight to hold him.”
The HGTV personalities, who own retail empire Magnolia Home, tied the knot in May 2003. “No such thing as a ‘perfect marriage.’ For me, it’s always been simple: commitment,” Chip wrote in a Twitter post on Valentine’s Day. “Every morning I wake up committed and pray that she chooses the same.”
