Baby on board — Kate Upton is pregnant! The model, 26, is expecting her first child with her husband of eight months, Justin Verlander.
Upton announced the news via Instagram on Saturday, July 14, while on vacation in Florida. She shared a photo of herself standing on the balcony of a hotel room while showing off her tiny baby bump in a red pantsuit over a white top. “#PregnantinMiami,” she captioned the post.
Her husband later shared the photo on Instagram, writing, “You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.”
The Other Woman actress and the Houston Astros pitcher, 35, tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy, in November 2017. They exchanged vows at the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort just a few days after his MLB team won the 2017 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The bride wore a stunning Valentino gown for the ceremony before changing into a Christy Rilling Studio dress with a plunging back for the reception.
Verlander recently shared his reaction to his wife’s sexy second outfit. “I knew she was doing a change, but didn’t know what it was,” he told Us Weekly on March 21. “The second I saw her in that, I was like, ‘OK, time to go. Let’s get out of here. Wedding over!”
The couple, who began dating in 2014, traveled to Puglia, Italy, for their honeymoon. “Kate and I are doers. We want to experience towns and cities wherever we are,” the athlete told Us. “We rented a car and drove to little towns. We learned the history and experienced the food. It was a lot of fun.”
At the time, Verlander told Us that he and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model had “no immediate plans for the human expansion” of their family. But he added, “We love dogs. So that is always on the table for us!”
