Baby on board! Deonna McNeill and Greg Okotie announced that they are expecting their first child.
“It’s true, we’re expanding our family!!” the pregnant star captioned her Thursday, September 10, Instagram reveal. “What a blessing?! Thank you all for all of the well wishes and blessings on our family. Yay! [Our dog], Sandy, is going to be a big sister!”
In the social media upload, she and Okotie were all smiles holding a sign reading, “Party of 3.”
The Maryland native posted a picture of their pet in a “Promoted to big sister” bib. “THE WAIT IS OVER,” the dad-to-be wrote.
“Congrats! I’m so excited for you guys!” fellow Married at First Sight alum Ashley Petta commented, while Jamie Otis wrote, “CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I’m so happy for you guys!!!! I guess you talked Greg into it.”
McNeill and Okotie tied the knot during season 9 of the Lifetime show, and the North Carolina native showed off her baby fever during a Couples Cam special in June.
“[It’s] still going strong,” Okotie said after his wife showed the baby doll she makes him carry around and strap into the car.
That same month, the reality stars told In Touch Weekly that they wanted to conceive a child “by the end of the year.”
“We would like to have two to three kids,” the pair told the outlet in June. While waiting to start their family, the Lifetime personalities were focusing on their veggie garden and their couples therapy.
“We enjoy it and look forward to our meetings,” McNeill and Okotie said. “It’s so helpful, fun and thought-provoking … [having] an unbiased third party to help you look at situations from a different lens. Something that we are continually working on to improve [is] … understanding [each other’s] intentions versus delivery and truly listening to each other without formulating rebuttals.”
The couple have also been honing their parenting skills by babysitting Okotie’s nephew Titan. “Babies are, like, calm around me,” the Saint Augustine’s College said during a Couples Cam special earlier this month. “Deonna called me a baby whisperer. Makes me really think about like, having one of my own, and I think I’ll be a great father. I think fatherhood would be pretty nice.”
