Meghan Trainor and her 2-year-old son, Barry, are brushing off the haters after she abruptly canceled her tour.
Trainor, 32, took to Instagram on Friday, April 17, to share a video of herself snuggling up to her toddler. Barry’s face lit up with a smile as she began singing her song “Still Don’t Care.” He then joined in with his mom to sing the track’s title lyric, “I still don’t care.”
“I think we know Barry’s fav off the album,” Trainor wrote over the video. In the caption, she added, “Bedtime tunes🥹💖.”
Fans gushed over the adorable video in the comments section.
“He’s so adorable!!! He has some singing talent, like his mama !❤️,” one fan wrote, while another person added, “So Barry could just tour for us I think … I think that would be great.”
“So sweet 🥹 so happy you’re taking time to be there for your cutie family 💛,” a third fan commented.
The video comes one day after Trainor announced her decision to cancel her Get In Girl Tour, which was slated to kick off in June.
“After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the Get in Girl Tour,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, April 16. “Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now.”
Trainor and husband Daryl Sabara welcomed daughter Mikey Moon via surrogate in January. The couple also share Barry and son Riley, 5.
Trainor added that she needs to be “home and present” for her kids at this time.
“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,” she concluded. “But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”
Trainor’s seventh studio album, Toy With Me, is out April 24.
Days prior to the tour news, Trainor exclusively told Us that she had mixed emotions about embarking on the journey.
“I can’t wait,” Trainor, 32, she shared in her recent cover story. “I’m also very nervous. I know the shows will be fun and great and exhausting, but the fans keep me going. But it’s spooky going out with a 6-month-old because we don’t even know what [Mikey is] going to be like at 6 months.”
