Words of wisdom! When Rachel Zoe needs mom advice, she’s got a group of celebrity girlfriends to talk to, including Jessica Alba and Jennifer Garner.
“I have a lot of friends that are moms to boys that have been incredibly helpful,” the fashion designer, 47, who shares Skyler, 8, and Kaius, 5, with her husband, Rodger Berman, told Us Weekly exclusively at the Box of Style x Missoni Summer Box Launch on Tuesday, June 18. “I ask Jessica Alba. She’s definitely someone that I’ve gone to.”
The New York native added that she also seeks help from the 13 Going on 30 star, 47. “[I ask], ‘What happens when? When does this change?’ She’s, like, the superwoman of supermoms. She’s a very special person.”
Zoe has reached out to Cameron Diaz and Diane von Furstenberg for life tips as well, but still struggles with her mom guilt.
“There is literally nothing easy about being a working mom,” she told Us. “I think I’m an incredibly hands on mom, probably too much at times, but I don’t want to miss anything. … I just feel guilty every time I get on that plane, every time I’m at an event and I feel like I’m missing bedtime. They’ll ask me, ‘Will you be home for tuck in?’ And you know they’re going to wait up. 100 percent they’ll be at that door when I walk in.”
The Rachel Zoe Project alum shared a similar sentiment with Us in June 2018, explaining how “overwhelming” it can feel trying to balance her career with her family.
“Your brain knows you need to be at work and your heart wants to be with your kids,” she told Us at the time. “You need to do both. I think it’s important to do both. With me, the struggle is real.”
