Sister, Sister with her son! Tia Mowry has been watching old episodes of her ’90s series on Netflix with Cree, 9.
“I’m in heaven,” the actress, 42, tweeted on Friday, September 4. “Watching #sister, sister with my son Cree! Thank you @netflix.”
Tia, who is also the mother of daughter Cairo, 15 months, celebrated the Netflix debut on Wednesday, September 2, via Instagram, writing, “Wow! Wow! Wow! Never ever did I ever think that I would have 3 shows #trending on @netflix. This is insane!!! The #love that I’m receiving from all 3 shows have been so amazing! #sistersister, #thegame and my most recent show #familyreunion. Making over 400 episodes of television! I am so grateful for my job and I #love what I do! Thanks for allowing me into your homes for all these years!”
As for Tamera, also 42, she gushed over “what a blessing” the show was for her and her twin sister.
“It all began here with my sissy!” the former The Real cohost wrote. “Representation matters. I’m so grateful and I am so excited for our generation to relive one of my fav jobs in history! And I’m ecstatic for the newer generation to discover this show, now on @netflix. I never thought in a million years #SisterSister would become an American classic. Thanks for supporting us throughout the years. I’m forever grateful.”
In January 2018, Tia gave an update on the show’s reboot plans. “The thing that I can tell you is we’re trying everything that we can possibly do to make everybody happy and the fans happy,” the Instant Mom alum exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “The thing is there’s no new news that I can report to you, but it’s not dead.”
The Whole New You author hinted at remaining “hurdles” in the process, explaining, “We have the writers. We have everything. Everything is in place, so we’re going to be taking meetings in the next few months, so we’ll see.”
