Tim McGraw shared a rare glimpse of daughter Maggie while singing her praises to celebrate her 28th birthday.
“Happy 28th birthday to our amazing middle girl Maggie!!” McGraw, 59, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, August 11. “We are all so very proud of you.”
McGraw continued, “Your integrity, your work ethic and your devotion to your family are wonderful gifts that we get to enjoy and take pride in everyday. Keep on rockin it, Maggie May! We love you so much!! So much wonderful life ahead!!!”
McGraw shares Maggie and her sisters, Audrey and Gracie, with wife Faith Hill. The country couple have been married since 1996, long before their now-adult kids began following in their musical footsteps.
“I’d love to do a song with all five of us at some point. I talk about it all the time and they’re like, ‘I ain’t singing with you, Dad,’” McGraw joked during a 2023 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “They’ll sing with mom, but I’m probably not up to par with the rest of them. I’m the worst singer in the family.”
While Maggie and her siblings have apparently turned down McGraw for a family duet, he still remains their biggest champion.
“They’re the life of the party every time they’re around,” he gushed to the outlet. “They just inspire us in so many ways.”
As for Hill, 58, she also views her family as one of her proudest achievements.
“Once you’re a mom, you’re always a mom,” Hill told The Independent in a 2022 interview. “Everything I think about in my life, I think about it as a mom, period. Not as an artist or whatever, I’m a mom first.”
Maggie, for her part, has previously praised her parents for raising their brood away from the limelight.
“I mean, they did a really good job of raising us outside of the spotlight and definitely growing up in a community like Nashville was really good,” Maggie told Access Hollywood in 2020. “I was able to go to high school, go to college, so it’s been amazing. It’s definitely all because of my parents.”
While Maggie was always aware of her parents’ careers, she admittedly only realized the “extent” when she reached high school.
“I mean, [I was] a little bit sheltered before. It was definitely weird to have that realization,” she quipped, noting that she’s not a major country fan. “I like some country [artists and] my parents are great … but [it’s] just never been my cup of tea. I’m more of a rock music person.”
