They’re not just flying north! Yes, Canada’s immigration site crashed after Donald Trump‘s upset victory on Tuesday, November 8, but it’s not the only country Hillary Clinton‘s devastated supporters are researching.
Apparently, New Zealand (home of Lorde and Russell Crowe) is also on top of Americans’ wish lists. The country’s immigration officials revealed that the New Zealand Now website, which handles residency and students visas, received 1,593 registrations from U.S. citizens since Tuesday, November 1, Reuters reported. That number, from the last week alone, is more than half the count of a typical full month.
Moreover, the site received more than 41,000 hits from Americans from October 7 to November 7 — a full 80 percent boost over last year’s numbers.
Many of Clinton’s supporters — including celebrities such as Lena Dunham, Rosie O’Donnell, Jon Stewart, Cher and Whoopi Goldberg — have openly stated, half jokingly, that they would consider moving out of the country if Trump were elected. Still, via social media, plenty have said that they’re staying put:
F*ck that.
I love this country, and there’s more work to do than ever.

Do not sit still. Do not weep. MOVE. We are not a nation that will let HATE lead us.

I’m a first generation American. Proud son of immigrants. I’m not going to Canada. I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying right here. #Fight
