Looking on the bright side of life! Teresa Giudice may be behind bars for a few more months, but The Real Housewives of New Jersey star isn’t spending her time moping around in prison — at least, not according to Andy Cohen.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Watch What Happens Live host revealed that he keeps in regular touch with Giudice, who is serving a 15-month prison sentence after she and her husband, Joe, pleaded guilty to fraud charges in March 2014. She is set to be released in December.

“She seems like she is okay,” Cohen told the publication. “She definitely has not lost her sense of humor, which I really admire. She’s really funny in her emails.”

The host explained that he and the reality star correspond via a “special prison [email] system,” in which he was required to provide his social security number, among other information, in order to chat with Teresa.

But things are looking up for the reality star. Us Weekly reported earlier this week that Teresa will return to Bravo’s hit reality series once she completes her sentence.

“She’s definitely back next season,” an insider told Us of the 43-year-old mom of four.

Teresa is also currently at work on a memoir about her time behind bars, which will include details about prison fights, what she’s eating, and more.

In April, the Bravo star released an exclusive statement to Us about staying strong in the midst of tough times.

“I miss Joe and my girls terribly, but we are going to get through this as a family one day at a time,” she said at the time. “We will be stronger because of this. Nothing can break us apart.”
