He’s moving on. Blake Shelton assured fans that he’s doing well after his July divorce from ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
“I’m good, I’m good,” the country superstar said on Saturday, Oct. 3, during an interview on the CMT Hot 20 Countdown show. “I’m in a good place. I wasn’t, but I am now. It’s amazing how quickly life can turn around for you. I’ve had some pretty cool things in recent times that have happened, and I’m loving it.”
The Voice coach, 39, and Lambert, 31, surprised fans when they announced their separation on July 20 after four years of marriage.
“This is not the future we envisioned,” they said in a statement to Us Weekly. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
The country music power couple originally met in 2005 at the CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert, when the “Honey Bee” singer was married to his first wife, Kaynette Gern. Shortly afterwards, Lambert and Shelton started their relationship, marrying in Texas in May 2011.
Shelton admitted on the Bobby Bones Show last month that the divorce “happened so fast.” Us exclusively reported at the time that the couple had come to an agreement that Lambert would retain the couple’s Nashville property, while Shelton kept his Oklahoma ranch. Sources told Us that both were “heartbroken” and “devastated” over the failure of their marriage.
During Saturday’s interview, the “Boys ‘Round Here” singer also talked about what he called his “divorce diet,” after fans noticed his considerable weight loss.

“I would like to sit here and tell you that I’ve been exercising, but I haven’t been,” he joked. “I push-mow my lawn. I don’t know.”
