A bright day amid so many dark ones. Bobby Brown and wife Alicia Etheredge welcomed a baby girl into the world on Saturday, July 11. This is the second child for the couple, who are also parents to 5-year-old Cassius.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Etheredge was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Friday, July 10, and was induced one day later.
In May, the couple, who wed in 2012, shared adorable photos from Etheredge’s baby shower.
“My Lady and Baby,” the R&B singer captioned one particularly precious shot of his wife surrounded by baby shower gifts.
Brown, 46, also has four other children from previous relationships, including 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina, who was placed in a medically induced coma after she was found unconscious and facedown in a bathtub at her Atlanta-area condo in January of this year.
Late last month, Brown rushed to be by Bobbi Kristina’s side after she was moved to hospice care on June 24.
The devoted dad has been there for his daughter since her hospitalization, and in April, the “Every Little Step” singer made an emotional speech during his first performance since the tragedy.
“I must tell y’all, this feels, this feels, this feels really, really, really, really good,” he told the audience at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles. "You know, rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don't know what the hell I'm going through right now, but I'm giving it to God and letting him deal with it."
