Robb Stark may be used to Bad Blood, but Scottish actor Richard Madden may have bitten off more than he could chew when he broached the subject of Cara Delevingne’s awkward interview with Good Day Sacramento from back in July.
Madden, 29, slammed Delevingne, 23, during a recent interview with Style magazine, calling her “unprofessional” and saying her responses “made her seem ungrateful.”
Naturally, the outspoken supermodel and actress didn’t let the HBO star’s comments go unnoticed. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, she took to Twitter to give Madden a piece of her mind.
“@_richardmadden I have no idea who you are but I think it's little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don't know,” Delevingne said to the Cinderella star. “@_richardmadden if you really want attention that badly, try focusing on your own work and not other people’s.”
Madden quickly apologized to Taylor Swift’s pal, tweeting, “Hi @Caradelevingne, nothing but respect for you. Misquoted and blown out of proportion. #SlowNewsWeek.”
In addition to marking her as "unprofessional," Madden also noted in the interview that “she showed her age,” adding, “If you’re not capable of doing [press] gracefully, then don’t do it."
In her widely publicized original interview, Delevingne gave several sarcastic responses before being asked if she was "tired" or if she "needed a nap" by the reporters. She then cut the interview short. The Paper Towns star later used Twitter to tell her side of the story, writing, “Some people just don’t understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour.”
