Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, were present at nephew Matthew Lowe’s wedding in the wake of their 13-year-old daughter Fiona’s death.
Chad, 58, and Painter, 52, were spotted during Matthew and bride Emily Markus’ Saturday, October 10, nuptials, where they were joined by daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
Matthew, 33, is the eldest son of Chad’s brother, Rob Lowe, and wife Sheryl Berkoff. (Rob, 62, and Berkoff, 65, are also parents of son John Owen, 30, all of whom were present at the Santa Barbara, California, ceremony.)
Matthew’s wedding took place just weeks after Fiona died by suicide.
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” Lowe and Painter wrote in a joint September 29 statement, recalling how Fiona was “a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”
They continued at the time, “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
Days later, Mabel broke her silence on Fiona’s death, sharing her own tribute to her late sibling.
“I love you so much, Fiona ❤️. I wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now,” Mabel wrote via Instagram on October 3. “I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, I hope you knew just how much.”
Chad, for his part, returned to social media several days later and reposted a clip from the “On Healing” podcast.
“You have to just trust because when you see the world through the eyes of the human ego, nothing makes sense,” podcast guest Gerry Hussey said during the June 2025 episode. “When you ask yourself the deeper, bigger questions and you move beyond human existence and through meditation or something else, you experience the transcendental experience. We are connected to everything that is, it just makes sense and there’s nothing there but peace in love.”
Chad did not offer an additional message alongside the footage.
