Not feeling very social. Demi Lovato has decided to abandon her Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The 23-year-old singer made her announcement with a final (and self explanatory) tweet, writing, “Damn I gotta quit sayin s–t. Bye Twitter.”

Actually, the recently separated performer (as Us Weekly reported, she and Wilmer Valderrama called their romance quits on June 3) did then go on to write a couple more tweets — but the message fans got was pretty clear.
“And insta,” she continued, referring to her choice to keep social media at arm’s length. The only concession she was prepared to make was Snapchat.
“I like snapchat cause I don’t have to see what some of y’all say. Follow me if you want: theddlovato,” she went on.

Evidently not quite ready to walk away in silence, the performer had a couple of other things she wanted to get off her chest.
That one time I started my own charity providing mental health care for people who can’t afford it and this is what y’all talk about ??

“But why do people actually give a f–k what I say?? like if you don’t care the gtfo haha,” she wrote. “That one time I started my own charity providing mental health care for people who can’t afford it and this is what y’all talk about,” she added with a chin-rubbing emoji.
“And people wonder what’s wrong with the world,” she said, in what really then was her parting gift to Twitter. “Pay more attention to good than bad.”
The “Heart Attack” singer didn’t go into specifics as to why she’d decided to remove herself from the social outlets. However, the backlash she received last week after throwing Instagram shade at Mariah Carey seems likely to have played a part in her decision.
As Us reported, the singer slammed Carey for being “nasty” during a comment she made on an Internet meme.
“Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people. It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer [Lopez]. Ari [Ariana Grande] did nothing wrong,” she later added, clarifying her comments.
